Rylan Masterson Jersey Retirement

On Saturday, October 10, the Fort Erie Meteors will retire Rylan Masterson’s No. 28 in a special pregame ceremony at the Fort Erie Leisureplex, as we host the St. Catharines Falcons.

Rylan wore the “C” for three seasons, anchoring our blue line as a physical, defensively reliable defenceman. Under his leadership, the Meteors won the Golden Horseshoe Championship and advanced to the conference final. He also won back-to-back Dave Dunham Awards as the Eastern Conference’s Most Valuable Defenceman.

Off the ice, he shaped our team culture and mentored younger players, helping several move on to higher levels of hockey.

“As a program, we simply wouldn’t have had the success we’ve had over the last five years without him.” – Head Coach Nik Passero

No Meteor will ever wear No. 28 again. Come be part of the moment when it goes up to the rafters for good.
