The Fort Erie Meteors are excited to announce the signing of forward Espen Escasa (2008), of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, for the upcoming season.
Escasa arrives in Fort Erie after a dominant campaign in the Great North U18 AAA League, where he led the league in scoring with 92 points (44 goals, 48 assists) in 35 games, finishing 20 points ahead of the next closest scorer.
“We’re excited to add a player of Espen’s skill and hockey IQ to our lineup,” said Head Coach Nik Passero. “Playmakers like this don’t come around very often. He has the ability to slow the game down, see plays develop before they happen, and make the players around him better. We’re looking forward to helping him continue his development and seeing the impact he’ll have in a Meteors jersey.”
The Meteors organization is thrilled to welcome Espen and his family to Fort Erie and looks forward to seeing him make an immediate impact on and off the ice.
