Fort Erie Meteors Sign Forward Zack Forwell

The Fort Erie Meteors are proud to announce the signing of forward Zack Forwell (2009), of Elmira, Ontario, for the 2026-27 season.

Forwell joins the Meteors after a standout season with the Waterloo Wolves U18 AAA, where he led the entire U18 AAA circuit in scoring while helping the Wolves advance to the Telus Cup. He was also selected 2nd overall in the 2026 OHL Under-18 Priority Selection by the Erie Otters, further cementing his status as one of the province’s premier offensive talents.

“We’re extremely excited to add a player of Zack’s caliber to our lineup,” said Head Coach Nik Passero. “He has elite offensive instincts, competes every shift, and has proven he can produce at the highest level of U18 hockey. He’s the type of player who can change a game every time he steps on the ice, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to Fort Erie.”

The Meteors are excited to welcome Zack and his family to Fort Erie and look forward to seeing him wear the orange and black this season.
