Fort Erie Meteors Sign Defenceman Matthew Natale

The Fort Erie Meteors are proud to announce the signing of defenceman Matthew Natale (2009), of Niagara Falls, Ontario, for the 2026-27 season.

Natale joins the Meteors after a strong season with the Niagara North Stars U18 AAA under Head Coach Brody Kritsch. A smooth-skating right-shot defenceman, Matthew also appeared in two games for the Meteors last season as an affiliated player, giving the coaching staff an early look at his potential.

“What stood out to us about Matthew was his composure,” said Assistant Coach Anthony Passero. “He doesn’t force plays, he makes smart decisions with the puck, and his skating gives him the ability to impact the game in all three zones. We believe he has a very bright future, and we’re excited to have him in a Meteors jersey.”

The Meteors are excited to welcome Matthew and his family to Fort Erie and look forward to seeing him on the blue line this season.
