Fort Erie Meteors Unveil 70th Season Logo, Announce Year-Long Celebration of Junior Hockey Tradition

FORT ERIE, ON – The Fort Erie Meteors are proud to officially unveil the club’s 70th Season commemorative logo, marking the beginning of a historic milestone as the organization prepares to celebrate its 70th season of junior hockey during the 2026–27 GOHL season.

Since taking the ice for the first time in 1957–58, the Meteors have become a storied organization in Ontario junior hockey. For seven decades, generations of players, coaches, volunteers, billets, sponsors, and fans have helped shape the rich tradition that continues to define the Fort Erie Meteors today.

“Our 70th season is about celebrating everyone who has been part of the Meteors family over the last seven decades,” said the organization. “This milestone belongs to our alumni, our volunteers, our supporters, and our community. Their passion and dedication have built a legacy that we’re incredibly proud of, and we can’t wait to celebrate it together throughout the season.”

The newly unveiled anniversary logo will be featured throughout the 2026–27 season across the team’s jerseys, merchandise, social media, marketing materials, and special events.

To commemorate the milestone, the Meteors are planning a season filled with special celebrations, including alumni reunions, themed game nights, historical features, community events, exclusive merchandise, and tributes recognizing the people and moments that have shaped the organization over the past 70 seasons.

Details on all anniversary events and celebrations will be announced once the 2026–27 Greater Ontario Hockey League schedule has been officially released.

The Fort Erie Meteors invite alumni, former staff, volunteers, billets, sponsors, and fans to join in celebrating one of the most significant milestones in franchise history as the organization honours its past while looking ahead to the future.

The countdown to Season 70 begins now.
